About the Foundation
Giri Asih foundation built an orphanage in Pohsanten in Bali. This is possible thanks to the financial support of Lions Rhoon-Old Meuse, Wild Geese and NCDO. Kepala Desa, the mayor of Pohsanten, opened the orphanage on June 20, 2010 officially.
Meanwhile there was also created a kindergarten, a library and a computer possibility. This became reality thanks to the cooperation of Impulsis, the counter for private initiatives in case of development. These facilities are not only meant for the children who are living in the Orphanage. Also the children of the village and their parents are using it. On this way an improved position in society can be achieved.
Giri Asih Foundation spends the proceeds of this culinary theater evening to decorate the new buildings and the construction of the Internet. Information is also available on www.giri-asih.nl.
